Intense paranoia - Identification method #17

Believing that those word verification letters which read like almost-proper words or sound somewhat-funny, are not simply randomly generated, but instead come from a prepared list churned out by the techno-geeks who own/operate/ moderate blogs*.

Who then allocate points for every person who refers to the "words" while commenting, as part of some hilarious (to them) in-joke contest.

Your world is stranger than you think.

* Either that, or they've been inserted by extra-terrestial intelligences who are testing us for our reactions to situations where things aren't exactly right. Just so they know what to expect when they finally openly launch their takeover. Which has been going on in secret.

in such case, Ludwig Van is going to be big chief when the aliens come, with all those who comment on his blog spared sundry indignities.

You have been reading the recent xkcd's, haven't you? Just asking...

omg yes yes yes. im obsessed with those damn words too only i dont think there's a point system. but im sure they all mean something. they do. they do. i've had eerie moments in the past where certain words have come up that should not and then i freak out and try refreshing the page until i get another less creepy word that has nothing to do with me or anyone i know.

The aliens don't need to test us to figure out our reaction to events not in the scope of our understanding / experience - Douglas Adams already put it down in writing - we'd ignore it.

If an alien warcraft actually landed on our backyard tomorrow, our preconditioned mind would refuse to acknowledge the fact, unless it happened to look exactly like one of those funny saucer shaped things we see in all our movies. The ones lit up like a christmas tree.

SEP??? Not sure I know that one. Sanity Evolving Purpose??

Hmm...sorry, my brain's mush. It's been a long day, but your writing cheered me up much. Thank you :)

Now I'm off to drown myself in everyone's favourite shortcut to oblivion - beer & bad food. Maybe I'll check back tomorrow and leave more comments... hope you won't mind :)
